Source: rajah.com/base/2005/2281- Vince McMahon is said to really want Ric Flair vs. Mick Foley at Wrestlemania, whereas Foley is pushing to have a match with Vince since he apparently regrets not doing that match a few years ago. He is said to be strongly against doing any sort of match with Flair. - There is also some talk of bringing Hulk Hogan back - first to induct him into the Hall of Fame and then to have him wrestle at the PPV, possibly against Ric Flair. - Finally, there is also preliminary talks of Brock Lesnar returning to face Big Show, but at this point, it is not even close to happening since WWE isn’t even returning Lesnar’s calls at the moment. They are intending to give him the impression that they have no interest in bringing him back at this point. There is a chance that WWE will wait until after Wrestlemania to bring him back because most feel it is inevitable that it will happen sooner or later.

Source: rajah.com/base/2005/2272- On a recent radio interview, Triple H confirmed that the Rock will be returning at Wrestlemania and that Brock Lesnar has shown an interest in returning. When asked why the wrestling business is currently not doing as well as expectations, Triple H said it was a combination of Mick Foley and Steve Austin getting hurt and Rock leaving for Hollywood. - Steve Austin is expected to be involved in Wrestlemania in some capacity, but nothing definite has yet been decided. There is an outside chance that he may actually wrestle on the PPV, but most consider it to be less than 50-50. - The Rock is expected to meet with WWE officials in the next week or two to find out what plans they have in store for him and what his role at Wrestlemania will be. Rock will probably pitch his own ideas and considering the amount of power he has, he can basically do whatever he wants. It is expected that officials will probably push a Rock vs. JBL idea to him, probably with the intention that Layfield be put over since Rock won’t be staying. If they follow that course, the John Cena title win would be pushed back until after Wrestlemania since long-term plans are still to have a re-draft.

Source: rajah.com/base/2005/2390-The Wrestlemania 21 Card is starting to take shape and here are the rumored matches which are expected to be announced over the following months: *Triple H vs. Batista (Heavyweight Title) *JBL vs. John Cena (Heavyweight Title) *Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle (Interbrand) *Kane & Undertaker vs. Snitsky & Heidenreich (Or more than likely Randy Orton vs Undertaker) -The reason Shawn Michaels vs Edge is being rushed out for the Royal Rumble is because the WWE wants to put him in a match with Kurt Angle at WrestleMania. Of course, there will be many undercard matches added to the card over the next few months as well.

Source: rajah.com/base/2005/2395There are a number of theories of what the Smackdown WWE Title match will be at WrestleMania. A possible match which has been talked about is The Rock challenging JBL for the WWE Title at the event, and even winning the belt, and holding it for a short title reign. Another scenario could see JBL defending the belt against John Cena. An intriguing scenario is Shawn Michaels winning the Rumble and choosing to wrestle Kurt Angle, who under that scenario would win the title before WM, or wrestle JBL if he retains the title. The stroyline would see Michael’s opting to wrestle on Smackdown for a shot at JBL’s gold, so it would open the door for Batista to wrestle Triple H at the pay-per-view instead. A final possibility could be Brock Lesnar returning at tomorrow night’s Royal Rumble, winning the event, and facing either JBL or Angle at WM 21.
